Dave Wolfe

Director 

 

Mr. Wolfe is an Olentangy High School graduate of 2003 and a Music Education graduate of Northern Kentucky University. He was a member of the NKU jazz combo and symphonic bands. Originally attending the University of Cincinnati he was a member of the Bearcat Bands Jazz ensemble, Concert band, Marching Band, and Pep-Band. He was also a member of the 1942 Glenn Miller Army Air Corp Band Recreation Project.  As a member of the University of Cincinnati Band program he served as a Drum Major for the marching and pep bands. He has worked with Olentangy Liberty band program since 2004 serving in a variety of roles including the woodwind tech, percussion adviser, and assistant director. He also an assistant director for the Olentangy Liberty Winter Ensemble focusing primarily on the front ensemble and electronics. Mr. Wolfe has also worked with Walnut Hills High School and Archbishop McNicholas High School's Marching bands including their woodwinds, percussion, field commanders, visual and drill design. 

 

 

 

Adam Walters

Assistant Director / Battery Tech

 

Mr. Walters graduated from Newark High School in 1995. He joined the Navy and after his honorable discharge he started working in wireless telecommunications industry for ICS, Clearwire and Northrop Grumman. During this time he graduated from DeVry with a BA and major in Information Systems. After college graduation he joined Oracle where he has been since 2005. During his time in high school he was a member of the marching band and earned several solo and ensemble Superiors. As a junior and senior he was a member of The Heisey Wind Ensemble and 1 of only 2 high school students to be a member during that time. In 2003 he worked with Newark High school as a battery tech for snare and tenors. Wanting to be closer to his home in Dublin, in 2004 he worked as the assistant percussion director with Dublin Jerome High School until 2007. Now living in Powell, in 2016 his oldest son Ethan was an 8th grader at Hyatts and joined War Eagle Winterline. Mr. Walters worked as a battery tech that year and helped lead War Eagle to their first medal ever, 2nd place at OIPA state finals. Mr. Walters in addition to being assistant director for War Eagle is currently the assistant percussion director for the Olentangy Liberty drumline and Winterline programs. Mr. Walters and his wife Tiffany have 4 children. Their oldest Ethan is a 2021 graduate of OLHS, Ella, and Keilah are twins along with their youngest Logan, are members of War Eagle Winterline as well.
